The SMS G18 subwoofer is so far above and beyond the competition in every aspect; refined musicality, tightness, and output levels suitable for a 18"" driver. It is also engineered to operate perfectly in sync (in phase) with our Infrasonic subwoofers; SMS G24, SMS G32, SMS G50 and SMS G80 when there is a desire to reproduce movie content below 20Hz with the same authority, precision, and musicality. Compared to conventional subwoofer motor concepts, the ultra-modern double-gap motor of this custom-made 18"" driver with two outer and two inner voice-coils enables more linear travel and much faster directional changes with higher sound power and significantly lower power compression.

SMS G18 Powered
With built-in powerful DSP and amplification, performance is achieved on a level impossible for externally amplified configurations. The extremely short speaker wires control the subwoofer without added resistance usually found in long cable runs degrading its damping significantly. The immensely powerful 3kW amplifier and even more powerful 6kW Power-supply handle any musical or movie attack with ease. A certified Ascendo Dealer can further optimize the in-room response by manually calibrating the response and tame the room modes efficiently.

The same subwoofer-amplifier combo can also be had with external 19" rack mountable amplifier when installation restrictions require separation from the speaker cabinet.
