In the feature “Clients in Control,” Residential Systems’ editor Anthony Savona focuses on Atlanta Home Theater’s customers-turned-owners. He details the changes to the integrator’s unique Tudor-style showroom, including the addition of a massive 50-inch ASCENDO Infrasonic subwoofer (which has since been substituted for the next-generation ASCENDO THE64 infrasonic subwoofer). THE64, elegantly flanked by two ASCENDO BLACK SWANS in a highly musical system, takes the spotlight in one of the first rooms that visitors experience upon entering.
“That’s the only [64-inch] subwoofer in any retail space in the country,” according to co-owner Alex Evans. “It’s a real conversation piece. It belongs to a client of ours, but when it was brought in, it was so big we couldn’t take it upstairs. So, we talked to our designer here and asked if he could design around it. He said, ‘Had I known you were bringing a car into the room, I would have designed it differently,’ but he was able to pull it together and make it the center of attention, as if it were in a real living room.”
The room is so impressive, in fact, that Residential Systems used it as the cover image. Click below to read the full story about how this massive infrasonic sub from ASCENDO and high-end left and right speakers wow customers and make the showroom space a destination.
